A Topographical Survey is an accurate depiction of a site (property, area of land, defined boundary) which is scaled and detailed according to the spatial considerations. It is usually the summary of the on-site data capture during the survey processes.

Subdivision is the act of dividing land into pieces that are easier to sell or otherwise develop, usually via a plat. Sub-division can be done for various purposes .i.e Personal land sub-division within a family setup for land inheritance or sub-dision for commercial purposes
